The 2019-2020 school year is starting. Welcome to AP Environmental Science.
Some Notes on the Class.
Grades: Approximately 50% Tests, 10% Vocabulary Quizzes, 10% End of Unit Projects, 30% Classwork (Homework, Labs, Participation) Labs,
Tests: About two or three times a quarter. Almost always items from old AP tests, partly multiple choice and partly extended answers. The first semester final will be another unit test. There will be a cumulative second semester final right before the AP Test. No retakes will be available for these tests.
Quizzes: Most units will have several small vocabulary quizzes in them. There will be retakes for these.
Projects: Most units will end with a project as well as a test. These might be power point presentations, debates, or essays.
Classwork: This category includes completing the reading guides that accompany the textbook chapters, lab reports, and in-class assignments.

Grading Scale: 100-90 A, 90-80 B, 80-70 C, 70-60 D, Below 60 F.
